Another veteran employee of Blizzard leaves

Jeff Kaplan is notorious as the head of Overwatch, one of the biggest competitive games in entertainment. However, Blizzard Entertainment has not been well with several controversies such as when Hearthstone pro player Blitzchung supported the Hong Kong protests and the extremely poor release of Warcraft 3: Reforged. Many iconic veterans of the company have left and now Jeff Kaplan has as well.
i am leaving Blizzard Entertainment after 19 amazing years.
it was truly the honor of a lifetime to have the opportunity to create worlds and heroes for such a passionate audience. i want to express my deep appreciation to everyone at blizzard who supported our games, our game teams and our players. but i want to say a special thanks to the wonderful game developers that shared in the journey of creation with me.
never accept the world as it appears to be. always dare to see it for what it could be. i hope you do the same.
Kaplan leaving in the midst of Overwatch 2's development has raised eyebrows but Kaplan reassured fans the project was progressing well. However, Blizzard has not shown as gameplay or provided any updates about the project. This is likely due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has made a lot of companies delay announcements and projects.
Concerns have been rising over the course of months that Blizzard is becoming Activision since the company keeps losing key figures with the company slowly becoming a shell of its former self. Comparing the last project, Warcraft 3: Reforged, to Blizzard's older projects highlights this as it was rated by fans to be the worst game on Metacritic. Something that is truly shocking considering Blizzard Entertainment's desire for high-quality.
