It would seem that the month of June will contain plenty of new and exciting news for many game studios. Among these studios is Capcom, who has recently announced that they will be hosting their own digital only showcase. It would seem that 2023 is Capcom's year, if the huge success of Street Fighter 6 is anything to fit by, we can only expect great things to come from the videogame developer.

As mentioned earlier, this year has certainly been great for the company with both the success of the Resident Evil 4 Remake and more recently the success of Street Fighter 6, it would seem that there are even more projects on the horizon. We did get a glimpse at some of the projects, which includes Dragon's Dogma 2, but it would seem that it is only the tip of the iceberg.

In a tweet posted on the official Capcom Twitter account, Capcom has announced that it would be hosting a digital only showcase on 12 June 2023, at 3 PM PDT. The showcase won't be a very long one and will roughly be around 36 minutes. The showcase will most likely include news or updates about titles that were shown off previously but we may also get a chance to see new titles that are coming to the company's roster. While we don't know much about what will be shown off, we do know that the showcase will not be suitable for children, could this be confirmation on the next Resident Evil game? This is currently speculation but Capcom has confirmed that more information will be revealed closer to the showcase date.

Capcom has gone through a renaissance of sorts, with successful release after successful release, it's no wonder why there is so much excitement surrounding the event. While many are anxiously awaiting the next Resident Evil game or Monster Hunter Title, there are also those who are hoping to see Capcom’s revival of some of the company's canceled projects such as Deep Down or Pragmata, two games that were officially announced but have been radio silent. It would make sense to bring both games back into development, considering Capcom's newfound success rate.

Even if we don't hear about Pragmata or Deep Down, with its 36 minute run time, we will most likely see quite a few new Capcom games. Capcom's showcase is just one of many upcoming showcases coming in June, such as The Xbox Games Showcase (11 June 2023, at 10 AM PT), the Starfield Direct which will follow right after and the Ubisoft Forward (12 June 2023, at 10 AM PDT). Needless to say, there is plenty in store for gamers this month.
