Elden Ring fans having a blast with the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC or getting absolutely trashed by the bosses and each and every enemy in the game due to its difficulty. The good news for those who are having a hard time with the game is that FromSoftware has launched a new update on Elden Ring called Patch 1.12.2 which is more of a calibration update.

The developers tweaked several in-game mechanics and even made the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC somewhat less difficult to play. Yeah, you read it correctly. They lightened the difficulty, which is great news for new players who will be able to beat the DLC in the updated edition—even though most regular Elden Ring fans may have preferred the original, more difficult version.
The scaling of the Revered Spirit Ash Blessing and the Shadow Realm Blessing has been looked over and altered as a result of Patch 1.12.2 which was released. No surprises there; the developers have tweaked the attack and the damage negation curve.

So, the maximum quantity of Blessing enhancements has been progressively scaled down in the second half, while the first half has had its attack and damage negation raised. It's good since it jumps right in with some great boosts and then probably goes linear. Although you won't be completely overwhelmed by the end, you will have an advantage and be able to reduce the stress on your gameplay if you gather them early on. You can even get some without even fighting any enemies. With this change, your attack damage and damage negation will both increase during the first half due to the Blessings.

The second change is a little boost to the attack and damage negation that the last level of the Blessing of Enhancements grants, which is a small amount. In the end, though, you'll be somewhat 10% stronger, which is not bad. According to the developers, you can apply the calibration update by logging into the multiplayer server. Make sure your version is less than 1.12. Then, pick "login," apply the latest regulations, and then enjoy the game.

Additionally, there is an update for the PC Settings, Graphics Settings, and Raytracing, all of which are automatically enabled. Additionally, the developers suggest disabling Raytracing quality in the Graphics Settings in the System settings if you're experiencing frame rate issues.

FromSoftware has already begun working on a patch that will address some bugs and make additional balance adjustments. Along with that, there are plans to improve performance and tweak the enemies' difficulty in New Game +.
