With the first gameplay trailer for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree officially out, developers FromSoftware have exceeded our wildest expectations with the stunning visuals of the Elden Ring Expansion come DLC. Even though there is only a little over a minute of gameplay footage, FromSoftware has successfully captivated fans with brief glimpses of the latest chapter, which is why we are absolutely thrilled.

The gameplay trailer opens with Miquella's egg and an optional boss that appears in the original game. A lion-like beast with a spinning head and another composed entirely of fire are among the new bosses and enemies showcased in the trailer. Some of the most notable revelations are those listed above. New skills, objects, and weaponry were also showcased. The player character gained angel wings during a battle and confronted a porcupine alligator, among other creatures.

Elden Ring's greatest enigma was the fate of Miquella, Malenia's twin and a demigod destined to spend eternally in youth. Based on what can be seen in the teaser, it appears that Shadow of the Erdtree will tell the narrative of Miquella, Malenia's twin brother, who is described as kind. Miquella was discovered in Mohg's palace in the main game, sound asleep in a cocoon that was supposed to transform him into a grown-up.

Miquella is the demigod daughter of Radagon and Queen Marika. Because of the curse that befell the twins at birth, Miquella will never mature into an adult. It is implied that Miquella is dead during Mohg's boss fight. However, the cut lore dialogue shows that she is still in her slumber. Now that we have the first Shadow of the Erdtree key art featuring Miquella on a ghostly steed, it seems like everything is in place to reveal the truth about this mysterious relative.

Firstly, there is the long-standing custom of having incredibly frustrating bosses in this DLC. Those familiar with FromSoftware titles know that despite their reputation for difficulty, the firm typically saves its most challenging encounters for the DLC packages. You should face more difficult tasks in the game because your endgame character is powerful, and your abilities have improved. Though the Shadow of the Erdtree trailer doesn't explicitly state it, you can't help but notice that part. You can find some lovely horrors in the teaser, like fields full of thunder, gigantic flame giants, and more. Despite what you may expect from the trailer, even seasoned gamers will face challenges from the many enemies in the DLC.

In addition to that, the trailer brought to light an excessive number of fresh features that would be incorporated into the game. Aside from Torrent, we get brand new animations that introduce several weapon kinds, a martial arts build, and what appears to be a new spirit steed. We also get brand-new armor, creatures, and weaponry. No one can tell us what to expect since even the seemingly timid Roderika appears to be blasting magic on her attackers.

The final illustration must be of Miquella, given his relationship with fair complexion and golden hair. The tree, which may be the Haligtree or the Erdtree, appears to be in considerably greater condition now than when the trailer first started, when it appeared rather diseased and decaying. Wonder if Miquella could be held accountable for restoring it. We will discover that once Shadow of the Erdtree is released on June 21, 2024. This goes without saying, but we couldn't be more thrilled about it. Shadow of the Erdtree's purportedly brutal difficulty will be tested on June 21 with the release of the Elden Ring DLC for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
