Pokemon GO Generation 3 Release Date Confirmed

Niantic Labs has been teasing the possible release of Generation 3 Pokemon, now the company has announced that they're coming this month.

Generation 3 Pokemon will join Pokemon GO on October 20th with Sableye and Banette joining the game's Halloween event. Niantic confirmed that Generation 3 Pokemon will be coming "gradually" in December although it's unclear which will take priority. Seeing that Ghost Pokemon are joining the game this Halloween it's likely that Christmas-themed Pokemon will be added in December.

The Halloween event for Pokemon GO will increase the spawn rate of Gastly, Cubone, Misdreavus, Houndour, and other Halloween-themed Pokemon. In addition, players can earn double candy for all Pokemon. A special Pikachu will be available throughout the event, wearing a witch hat.

Pokemon GO is now out for Android and iOS devices.
