Earlier this week it was confirmed by Boss Key Productions co-founder Cliff Bleszinski that the studio would be closing immediately. After the news, Bleszinski revealed that he would take some time off and would be providing information on pitches games from the studio.
The first game revealed was codenamed "DragonFlies" and combines dragon, samurai, and zombies in one PVE experience.
Next up is "Rover" which focused on tank combat.
A Mario Kart-themed racing and VR title that was supposed to be a spiritual successor to Toobin.
In a closing Tweet, Bleszinski offered some insight into the difficulty developers face when pitching an idea but also how publishers also face difficulty trying to decide what's worth the investment.
One problem with publishers, generally? You pitch something and the response is often "too similar to something we have or out there so no" or "this is too unique so we can't do a proper financial model for it."
