Since its launch, Monster Hunter: World has garnered a lot of acclaimed and made a large number of new fans thanks to its running support and strong launch. After releasing on PC recently the game has now crossed over 10 million in shipped copies.

Monster Hunter: World, the best-selling title in company history, achieved this 10 million-unit milestone following the titles' PC release on the globally accessible Steam platform, allowing the game to appeal to a wider fan base spread across a greater number of regions, and in combination with continued robust sales of the home console version of the game even now, more than six months after its release.

This may not be sales but is nevertheless impressive. When it launched on PC Monster Hunter: World became the achieved the largest concurrent player count for a new release in 2018 on Steam.

Considering the massive success of the first console installment in this long-running franchise Capcom will most likely dedicate more resources to ensuring more events, monsters to fight, and things to keep players coming back. With the most recent event hosting featuring the Behemoth from Final Fantasy crossing over into the world of Monster Hunter.
