A Mysterious Warner Bros. Game Appears on Microsoft Store

A very random thing happened on the Microsoft Store. A mysterious, unnamed game by Warner Bros. Interactive has appeared, and it has a file size of 43.43 GB, has the codename MetCat, and is for the Xbox Series X, S. These kinds of leaks occasionally happen, and they’re only really good for speculation, so let’s speculate.

 

The game listing was discovered by a Twitter account called Aggiornamenti Lumia, and these things are generally errors. An incomplete build is uploaded and made public when it shouldn’t be made public. So, what can be ascertained with the information we have? Well, Warner Bros. doesn’t typically do console exclusives, so this will probably also wind up on the PS5 too, its size indicates that it’s a modern game but also not a huge open-world or something similar, and, because it’s by Warner Bros., there are a variety of games that it could be, which could indicate that this game is not very far from being released.

A few of the games Warner Bros. Interactive is currently working on and plans to publish include Hogwarts Legacy by Avalanche Studios, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League by Rocksteady Studios, Mortal Kombat: Onslaught by NetherRealm Studios, and Wonder Woman by Monolith Productions. It could be a listing for any of these games, or even for a game that has not been announced just yet.

Alternatively, it could be a complete mistake seeing as it has a bunch of mostly unnecessary and unreliable data attached to it. However, there has been no response from Warner Bros. Interactive, but as this is a small leak that doesn’t reveal any definitive information, the company likely won’t respond at all.
