Bandai Namco Restructuring Happening This Year

A Bandai Namco financial report has confirmed that the company will undergo significant restructuring this coming April 1st.

The report speaks of a merging of the company's video game division with the toy and hobbyist sections.

When the merge occurs in April, the above divisions will merge to become a singular entity the company is calling the "Entertainment Unit".

The document also tells of Masaru Kawaguchi becoming president and representative director at the company.

Kawaguchi has been with the company since way back in the 1980s and has held the position of part-time director since 2019.

According to the report, the restructure is happening in order to better reflect the values of their customers. It likely represents part of a wider buisness stratergy to unify the company's assets.
