CD Projekt Announces New Witcher Game

The title's teaser states "A New Saga" begins with the medallion hidden beneath the snow. The developers did confirm they're using Unreal Engine 5 for this game instead of REDengine which is being used for Cyberpunk 2077 and its upcoming expansions.

CD Projekt confirmed that the third game would be the end of Geralt of Rivia's story but who will take on the role of protagonist is left unknown. Another mystery is whether this game will be a prequel or sequel but considering they're showing snow it may be a sequel as the final game dealt with the White Frost.

The Witcher franchise has continued past the third game with the most popular being Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales. Showing the franchise can live without Geralt and this universe has many characters worth exploring.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, PC, and Switch.
