It seemed only yesterday that many were introduced to the world of medieval Bohemia through Kingdom Come: Deliverance. And now, the second game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, is not two months away. With it comes the rekindled itch to dive back into the story of Henry of Skalitz and his quest for vengeance and deliverance.

For the uninitiated, Kingdom Come Deliverance II is the upcoming game from Warhorse Studios, a realistic Medieval Open-World RPG; Kingdom Come: Deliverance is set to build on its predecessor and continue Henry's story through Kunta Hora, also known as Kuttenburg and much of the countryside around it. The game is set to release on 4th February 2025. The game actually moved up its release date, hinting that it's pretty much finished or at least near that state, making the developers confident enough to do so. Another reason may be to not coincide release dates with Assassin's Creed: Shadows and Civilizations 7.

The recently released story trailer provided more content and even showed off some gameplay. From the new story trailer, we can first see that the game looks phenomenal, with an overhauled UI and even some new tabs. Naturally, Bohemia looks as beautiful as ever, with some ruins and a castle that's probably Kuttemburg, and more is being shown off.

As for new details, Warhorse Studios also revealed more information, including the confirmation of some rumors. The biggest one is that many of the people you used to know are coming back. Throughout Kingdom Come: Deliverance I, you meet a whole range of figures who you now reunite with if you can find them. Some of these, of course, were obvious and known from before, such as the noble Hans Capon and not-so-pious Father Godwin.

Of some of the new reveals, you have an OG friend returning. That is none other than your first horse, Pebbles. Now, in the first game, pebbles had somewhat of a lackluster stat line, but apparently, he has learned a few things throughout the last game and is now back to serve as Henry's starting mount. What's more is that Pebbles is now basically a part of Henry, growing in stats alongside Henry himself. This bond feature is reminiscent of Red Dead Redemption 2, where something similar happens.

Items now spoil faster, especially if they're fresh food. Naturally, there are a lot of ways to ensure it doesn't spoil, with you now being able to dry herbs, so you don't have to disappear into the wilderness now and then for potions.

Some of your skills are replaced, and other newer ones are introduced, such as the scholarship skill. This skill replaces your old reading skill since Henry, by now, is a pretty good reader. With the Scholarship skill, you can now improve on that and unlock new dialogue options and more.

For quality-of-life changes, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II introduces new outfit options where you can now seamlessly switch between three outfits, so you'll not have to individually replace plate armor every time you get out of battle.

The game also introduces new weapons, such as a large arquebus and, as shown in the gameplay trailer, a crossbow. With weapons also come new stances, with much more variable fighting styles and weapon use. The trailer shows many of these, including some neat half-swording tricks and even some shield-based kills.

Speaking of kills, you might not always need to kill people, as in fights, you can now have new dialogue options. These include taunts and battle cries that actually impact how people respond. They might commit to a reckless attack or give up entirely.

There are still some unanswered rumors. For example, many are speculating that you'll get to meet and interact with Jan Zizka, who should be active around this time. If you know anything about Central European history, you know how important and cool the man is, so it remains to be seen if he'll actually be in or not.

There is a litany of smaller reveals, such as the option for random encounters, updated horse interactions, including the ability to praise them, and NPCs being more reactive and having dialogue options for idle chatter. That's about it, though. Hopefully, we'll get more in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more Kingdom Come: Deliverance II!
