CD Projekt Red is back with a bang for Cyberpunk 2077, and this time, they're garnering much anticipation amongst players, citing many game-changing updates that are expected to drop. Patch 2.3, officially titled the "More to Discover" update, has been unveiled for all platforms except the Nintendo Switch, which will receive the patch at a later date.
Revealed during a recent REDstreams on the game's official YouTube channel, the Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.3 update is a much-awaited breakthrough, revamping Night City as we know it. CDPR has introduced a multitude of customization options. With an emphasis on vehicles and customization, hence creativity is certainly expected to flourish. Patch 2.3 has debuted new content, upgraded features, and quality-of-life enhancements engineered to rekindle interest in CDPR's dystopian RPG.

Rev Your Engines: New Vehicles and Quests
Players can now add three new cars and one motorcycle to their repertoire, including:
- The Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru, teased in the final pages of the Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown comic.
- The Rayfield Caliburn "Mordred", an armoured sports car: the first of its kind in the game.
- The Chevillon Legatus 450 Achila, a weaponized truck, was jokingly coined by the studio as a "bigass" truck.
- The Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa, the lone customizable motorcycle amongst the many cars that are up for grabs.
These vehicles are retrieved through new, lore-connected quests tied to existing fixer relationships and other questlines. The Achila, notably, can't be customized due to lore constraints and is acquired directly from the AUTOFIXER. Fortunately, none of these quests affect your 100% completion rating or trophy/achievement progress — a relief for perfectionists.
Autodrive & Delamain Taxis: Cruise Through Night City in Style and Comfort
Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.3 adds two new ways to travel across Night City:
Autodrive Mode: Choose a destination on the map, and your vehicle will drive itself — even obeying traffic signals. If you don't choose a destination, your car will simply explore the city in free-roam mode.
A cinematic camera enhances the experience, turning every drive into an exuberant visual showcase, allowing the player to take in the rich ambience. Just be warned: you may still get ambushed while on the road, though the devs say this will be rare in order to avoid repetitiveness.
Delamain Taxi Service: After completing the Don't Lose Your Mind quest, players can call on Delamain cabs for a quick ride anywhere in the city. This feature also supports cinematic camera views and blends seamlessly with photo mode.

Style it Your Way: Customizations Galore
With this update, vehicle customization is no longer limited. Players can now personalize 32 different vehicles, including motorcycles, using:
- 205 generic paint jobs.
- 168 unique paint jobs, found dynamically in traffic.
A clever bit of in-world justification would allow the player to implement these customizations via a hacker who lets you add high-end paint jobs to low-end vehicles, a perfect touch to immerse yourself in Night City's flamboyance.
Capture the Chaos: Photo Mode Gets its Flowers
Patch 2.3 significantly expands photo mode, introducing:
- Custom time-of-day and weather settings.
- 27 new NPCs with customizable outfits.
- The ability to change V's outfits utilising your saved wardrobe.
- A timeline scrubber for perfect action shot setups.
- A new "Look at Camera" feature, allowing you to adjust characters' eyes independently of their pose.

Also included are updated lighting effects, frames, overlays, and a host of other changes, giving content creators and virtual photographers a license to explore their creative outlets.
Graphics Boost & Mac Debut
PC players are getting some serious boosts, including:
- FSR 3.1 frame generation, with FSR 4 coming once compatible AMD GPUs receive the supporting patch.
- Intel XeSS 2.0 with frame generation support.
- HDR10+ for compatible GPUs and monitors.
- Console players have a lot in store too: VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support has finally been added for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S users.
And for the first time ever, Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to Mac systems with Apple Silicon. If you already own the game via GOG, Steam, or the Epic Games Store, you can play it on your compatible Mac. New purchases can be made via the Mac App Store or other PC storefronts. Cross-progression support is fully enabled.
Will a revisioned Night City get revisited? From dynamic driving experiences to expanded creative tools, Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.3 offers bits and pieces for every kind of player. Whether you're a lore-hunting quester, a vehicle enthusiast, or a photo mode artist, this update is built to rekindle your faded connection with Night City.
Are these changes enough to get you back behind the wheel of your Quadra Turbo-R? We'll let time speak for itself.
