Back in October, EA brought their games back to Steam. A first since the company started their own digital store, Origin. Now EA is bringing EA Access to Steam.
EA Access started on Microsoft's Xbox One and is also offered through Origin and eventually came to PS4. The service provides users access to EA titles similar to Xbox Game Pass for a monthly or yearly fee of $4.99 or $29.99. In addition, subscribers were given exclusive discounts and special promotions such as early access to EA titles
To celebrate, EA is discounting their games on Steam. With titles such as Dragon Age: Inquisition, Crysis 3, and Need for Speed Heat now over 50% off.
Many companies have exclusive digital platforms and often move their titles to these digital services. Mostly to avoid Valve's fees for using Steam. However, most of these digital services a pale in comparison to Steam's features. EA has been moving back to Steam to increase sales as most PC gamers use the service as a default.
