The last time we covered EITR was all the way back in February 2017. Ever since, developer Eneme Entertainment has kept mostly silent regarding its upcoming Action RPG. Today, however, the silence was broken in a Steam post which announced a release window for the title.

"We'd like to thank you all for your ongoing support and patience for Eitr! It's been a long road but we're finally starting to see the end of the tunnel.

Eitr is currently being scheduled for a Summer 2019 release.

In the coming months, we will have more information and media to share as we close in on release and rekindle the 'hype train'."

In case EITR fell off you radar due to the long wait and silence on the developer's part, it follows a Shield Maiden whose destiny was shattered by Loki. With Yggdrasil engulfed in darkness, she must travel to the nine worlds of Norse mythology in order to discover her true fate.

In between eye-catching pixel art and an arsenal which includes several weapons, EITR also features a "unique Favor System, requiring a choice between permanent level upgrades and more powerful but fleeting perks" which replace the usual experience points. You can follow and wishlist EITR on Steam.
