Shadow of the Erdtree is the upcoming DLC for Elden Ring and is arguably one of the most anticipated expansions of the year. Up until recently, we haven't heard much about the DLC but that will likely change very soon. It would appear that Bandai Namco, the publisher for the game has recently updated several YouTube playlists for Elden Ring, which many fans have interpreted as meaning that we are likely going to be receiving a new trailer very soon.

There's little to no doubt that Shadow of the Erdtree has had fans in a frenzy, this does make sense considering that Elden Ring has smashed several records and has cemented itself as one of the highest rated videogames of all time. Even more so when repeatedly FromSoftware has released brilliant DLC content for several of their games such as Dark Souls III and Elden Ring will likely be no exception. Despite the hype, there is very little we know about the DLC since it was first announced.

While there isn't much information, that will likely change soon as Twitter user, Ziostorm, has noted that Bandai Namco has recently updated several playlists relating to Elden Ring. While there are no new visible videos, it is likely that the possible new trailers have been marked as unlisted, meaning that the publisher will likely be showing them off soon. As with all rumors, a pinch of salt is needed as these unlisted videos could very well not be related to the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC whatsoever.

There have been numerous rumors surrounding Elden Ring's upcoming DLC even before the expansion was officially announced. Most recently, there has been a supposed “leak” that states the DLC will be launching in February 2024, which will line up with the game's two year anniversary. Despite all this, we should wait for official confirmation from both FromSoftware and Bandai Namco before jumping to any conclusions.
