The 10 coolest and most powerful armor sets found in Elden Ring.

In Elden Ring, armor sets serve two purposes: provide utility and drip. Neither is less important than the other. With that in mind, here are the top 10 best armor sets in Elden Ring and how to find them.
Fingerprint Set
Similar in appearance to The Knight Set in Dark Souls 3, The Fingerprint Set is a lightweight armor set with solid damage negation and a story behind it. Its owner, Vyke, was the closest tarnished to ever reach throne of the Elden Lord. Unannounced, Vyke travelled far below the capital one day and was scorched by the flame of frenzy, giving the armor its singed look.
Where to Find: Defeat Vyke of the Roundtable Hold.
Cleanrot Set
This is one of the best early armors you can get in the game. With medium weight, good physical and elemental absorption and high immunity and robustness resistance, the Cleanrot Set brings a lot to the table. It is worth mentioning that the combination of gold with red and white accents look stunning in game.
Where to Find: Individual pieces dropped by killing Lesser Cleanrot Knights in Caelid.
Black Knife Set
The Black Knife set is a stealth armor set, whose chest piece has muffles all movements made by the player, allowing you to get closer to enemies to backstab them quicker. To get this effect, though, you must keep the cape on. This armor set is perfect for assassin builds due to its special effect, light weight, and solid damage resistance.
Where to Find: Under an archway behind Ordina, Liturgical Town in Consecrated Snowfield found on a corpse.
Azure’s Glintstone Set
Azure’s Glintstone set is THE armor set for mage builds because it has the highest Magic damage negation and because it buffs the damage of Comet Azur, and increases the damage of Glintstone Cometshard and Comet, but also increases the FP cost of all Sorceries. For the buff, fashion and stats it provides, this set is a top choice for many Mage builds.
Where to Find: Complete Sorceress Sellen's Questline and side with her towards the end and return to Primeval Sorcerer Azur's location.
Night’s Cavalry Set
Boasting the dark knight look, the Night’s Cavalry set is worn by Night’s Cavalries who ride funeral steeds. The set provides high damage negation and high poise for being medium weight. This is an excellent choice for those who like black and don’t like taking damage.
Where to Find: In the Inner Consecrated Snowfield, dropped by killing two Night’s Cavalries escorting a carriage being pulled by two Trolls.
Scaled Set
The Scaled set is armor made of corroded metal reinforced by solid dragon scales which makes it very effective at negating any non-physical damage. This armor set is worn by Old Knight Istvan. It is said that you are to fear the old ones in a place where many die young. The armor is on the heavier side of medium armors and it boasts high poise, robustness and immunity negation alongside its unique quirk. This is a solid option because of the stats it provides for its lower weight and just how cool it is to rock dragon scales as armor.
Where to Find: Kill the first of three invasion targets, Old Knight Istvan, in the volcano manor questline.
Lionel’s Set
Despite how round Lionel’s armor set is, it does NOT help you roll faster. This set was worn by Lionel the Lionhearted, the adoptive father of Fia. This is a heavy armor set with extremely high poise. You can tank through most hits and keep attacking. It is recommended to use this in Strength builds with beefy weapons where you need to have high poise and damage negation to keep swinging in battle. Other than being extremely viable and tanky, it just looks super goofy. I find myself leaning towards this armor set for the goof factor alone.
Where to Find: In Leyndell, Royal Capital, on a bed in the building that is right by the Capital Church Site of Grace.
Veteran’s Set
The Veteran’s Set is another armor set for the beefy Strength builds with high poise, relatively lower weight and high damage negation, this set might stand out for those looking for a cooler, more serious look which is severely lacking in Lionel’s set. There’s not much to say about this set other than the fact that it is a Lionel sidegrade and that it looks pretty cool.
Where to Find: Buy it from Enia after defeating Commander Niall in Castle Sol Rooftop for 18000 runes.
White Reed Set
Brandish the classic Samurai look with the White Reed set. Paired along with any katana, this set is simply peak design. The armor has really good poise and damage negation for its lightweight stature. You have some solid damage negation also. Let’s be real with ourselves, if you’re interested in this armor set, you do not need to be sold on its stats; just go and equip this armor because of the drip alone. Not to undermine the stats by any means though, this set has solid damage negation around the board. You ideally want low points in endurance and a high investment in Dex+Int/Fai to take advantage of how lightweight this set is.
Where to Find: In the Spiritcaller’s Cave in the Mountaintop of the Giants, you can find the armor, gauntlet and greaves from looting a corpse and the Okina Mask is found by defeating Bloody Finger Okina.
Bull-Goat Set
Here comes the goat: the Bull-Goat Set. This armor set has the highest poise in the game of 100. It’s the heaviest armor, but for that you receive extremely high physical and magical damage resistance. From your chest, you have two huge mountain goat horns come out and spiral back to behind your shoulders and you wear a Greek helmet, giving off a cool, rugged look. Run this armor if you hate dodging, ideally in a Strength build.
Where to Find: From the Patches questline, kill Great Horned Tragoth.
