God of War Director Confirms No Season Pass

Recently, the special edition version of God of War was announced but strangely while Santa Monica has been talking a lot about the core game no word of post-launch content was discussed. On Twitter, a fan asked about a season pass and director, Cory Barlog, about a season pass which we responded to no.

No season pass. As for the story questions - you will have to wait and play the game to see how it all shakes out. I just finished another play-through last night around midnight and it was still awesome! I'm totally biased, though.

Since God of War doesn't feature multiplayer, like God of War: Ascension, and isn't structured like open world games that benefit from microtransactions, like Middle-earth: Shadow of War, only one type of post-launch content makes sense. Similar to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt or Horizon Zero Dawn's Frozen Wild expansion with medium to large story expansions would fit into God of War's formula. This system has been absent in past God of War games but seeing that this a sequel/reboot that could change.

God of War is planned to release in Spring 2018 for PS4.
