God of War Greek Saga Undergoing Remastering

Expecting the God of War remakes instead of remasters? That's just the other side of the coin.

There haven't been many God of War updates after the God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla DLC. But that changed yesterday when a rumor spread among the gaming community suggesting that Santa Monica Studio and Nixxes Software are joining forces to remaster the entire Greek saga of God of War.

Everything from God of War 1, 2, and 3 to God of War: Ascension (PS3) and both God of War: Ghost of Sparta and God of War: Chains of Olympus that came on PSP falls under this category, with the exception of God of War: Betrayal. Some people are expecting remakes instead of remasters, but that's the other side of the coin.

God of War Greek Saga, God of War Remaster, God of War Remake

According to a claim made by Lunatic Ignus on Twitter, the remasters are supposedly finished, with a release in 2025 and the confirmation perhaps coming between December 2024 and March 2025. While this God of War rumor is exciting for many, no official accounts have verified this information, and no reputable sources indicate that this rumor is authentic. On the other hand, this could be a possibility since Lunatic Ignus has predicted certain things correctly before.

However, the claim is somewhat supported by Santa Monica Studio's work on other remasters, such as God of War 3 Remastered. Even though this news will please the fans who started playing the series since God of War (2018), due to the lack of proof, we should wait and see how far this rumor is stretched.

This type of compilation would be greatly appreciated by many, particularly by those who began the series in God of War 2018 or even with God of War Ragnarök. The positive side of this world is that anyone can play the collection without relying on cloud streaming, needing a PlayStation 3, or even better, owning a PlayStation 2 or PSP loaded with those particular titles.
