GTA 6 Release Won’t Be Delayed

GTA 6 is set to be one of the largest game launches in 2025. Since Rockstar Games revitalized the series with Grand Theft Auto 3, the series has had hit after hit, with every successive GTA game turning out to be a massive seller for the company. Coming off the heels of high expectations with GTA 6, it might prove difficult to meet expectations, but more recently, fans have been worried that the game is going to be delayed.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you definitely know about the nonstop chit-chat surrounding the GTA 6 release date. A short internet search produces many theories about when the release date or second trailer will be announced. The owner of Rockstar Games has addressed the issue by assuring people that Grand Theft Auto 6 will indeed launch in fall 2025, as it was scheduled.

According to Take-Two Interactive's financial conference call, the parent business is confident that GTA 6 will be released in Fall 2025, so rumors of a delay are just that for now. Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two Interactive's CEO, mentioned that "There's always a risk of slippage, and I think as soon as you say words like absolutely, you jinx things, so we feel really good about it".

Strauss additionally stated, "I think the game is eagerly anticipated both internally and externally, and I know that Rockstar seeks perfection. I never claimed success before it occurred. I'm fond of saying arrogance is the enemy of continued success, so we're all running scared and looking over our soldiers. We know that the competition is not asleep. Our whole organization is super excited".

Now, the competition is not sleeping; they are simply waiting for Rockstar Games to make a move so that they can avoid getting in the way of one of the most anticipated games of the year, GTA 6. On the other hand, EA's CEO recently stated that he was willing to push the next Battlefield game to the next fiscal year to avoid GTA 6.

This is a wise move because anything else coming out in the fall of this year that coincides with Rockstar's next huge entry into the GTA series will undoubtedly be drowned out. But now that we know GTA 6 is tentatively scheduled to be released in the autumn, the next question is when will we get another look at the game. We expect it will be sometime in the summer, but no one can truly forecast Rockstar Games' moves, so it's likely up in the air right now.
