Humankind Console Release Delayed Indefinitely
Amplitude Studios delay Humankind's console release "until further notice"

Amplitude Studios has announced that the console release of the real-time strategy game Humankind will be delayed "until further notice". The SEGA-published game was set to release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch through publisher Aspyr Media but development has "run into unexpected challenges".
Humankind was first released in September 2021 to a positive reception, NoobFeed's PC review complemented the game's world-building and aesthetic. The title's unique mechanic of blending different historical cultures together as the player evolved their civilization from the Neolithic period to the Modern Age was also a highlight. However, Humankind's turn-based combat left a lot to be desired.
In a worrying move Amplitude Studios has been unable to provide a timeframe on a new release date and as a result "anybody who has pre-purchased on digital storefronts will receive a refund where applicable". There is good news for PC players however as Humankind's latest expansion Together We Rule is still set to release on November 9th; providing players with a new currency, a new quarter, new wonders, and new narrative events.
