Into The Breach is the next game from FTL Creators Subset Games.

In a short announcement on their Steam page, FTL creators Subset Games have announced that their next game, Into The Breach, will arrive on PC on February 27th. The same post mentions that they still plan to bring the title to other platforms, however no schedule on that was given. Into The Breach puts players in control of mechs which they must use to save the remnants of humanity from "gigantic creatures breeding beneath the earth".
Battles in Into The Breach take place in turn-based fashion, with levels being procedurally generated. The 8x8 board is made up of different tiles which react to damage. For example, damaged sand tiles turn to smoke which makes it unable to attack or repair mechs. Mech customization will be available and unique pilots await to be recruited as foes are vanquished from the game's islands. No details about the game's price were given.
