In anticipation of Super Mario Maker for the Wii U, in celebration for Mario’s 30th anniversary, Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto has decided to answer some of the Mushroom Kingdom’s greatest myths.

Question: Is Mario named After former Nintendo of America warehouse Landlord Mario Segale? 

Answer: Yes.

Question: Is the Mario shown on the original Super Mario Bros. packaging about to lose a life?

Answer: No.

Question: Would you let Dr. Mario operate on you?

Answer: No.

Question: Was Super Mario Bros. 3 all just a performance? 

Answer: Yes.

Question: When Bob-ombs perish do they turn into Boos?

Answer: No.

Question: Do you know who Bowser Jr.’s mother is?

Answer: Yes. (Miyamoto points at himself)

Question: Does Mario break blocks with his fists?

Answer: No.

Question: Are any of your courses featured in Super Mario Maker?

Answer: No, “I’m not in there, but I will definitely post something”.
