New Information on Sonic Project and Sonic Mania Coming March 16th

Today SEGA announced that it'll host an official Sonic the Hedgehog panel at SXSW 2017 on March 15th at 6PM EST. The panel will include new information on their upcoming game Sonic Mania and new information on Project Sonic 2017.

Sonic 2017 was first announced on July 22, 2016 at the San Diego Comic-Con and is in development by the team who made Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations. The game will star both modern and classic Sonic but it was confirmed not to be a sequel of Generations but a stand-alone title.

Sonic Mania is a side-scrolling platform game, returning to the original classic Sonic the Hedgehog games, that will feature new and remixed levels from past games. In addition to Sonic, Tails and Knuckles will be playable characters.

Sonic Mania is set to release in Spring 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Project Sonic will release in 2017.
