Despite running into tough times, massively multiplayer online (MMO) game Lost Saga will be continuing its lifespan through Nexon Europe. Previously, this free-to-play PC title had switched providers and subsequently it had also been taken down by that company as well.

Finally, European audiences can get some assurance as to Lost Saga’s continuation, after American servers were already running. It will, however, return to a Beta state at first, which is expected somewhere in 2014.

In Lost Saga, up to 16 players participate in a cel-shaded brawler with heavy anime influences.  It has dozens upon dozens of wildly different characters to choose from in over 20 locations. Knights, cowboys, space troops; all is permitted in this flashy action venture.

Its return is probably not a bad idea, since Lost Saga was one in 100 titles to be approved in Steam Greenlight’s Halloween update, along with awesome games like Cardinal Quest II and Finding Teddy. It’s odd that a company would ditch their title prior to the known resurgence of popularity that Valve’s digital platform can bring. Hopefully, Nexon Europe can take full advantage of that.
