The 30XX series GPUs from NVIDIA have had a troublesome launch.
30XX cards have been incredibly difficult to source, with incredibly high stock demand causing batches to disappear into thin air upon launch.
The large performance leap this generation makes these cards the first line to robustly offer Ray Tracing capabilities at an affordable price.
When they're actually in stock, consumers have the option between four cards: the RTX 3060ti, 3070, 3080, and the company's flagship 3090.
Coming on February 25th is a new card - the RTX 3060 - which exists as the companies cheapest 30XX GPU yet.
The card will be most comparable to the 2060Ti, which compares favorably against last generation's 2070 Super
The RTX 3060 will be available to purchase MSRP for $329 in the U.S., £299 in the U.K., and €329 (*although sources suggest Europe prices have already started to inflate beyond MSRP).
The new card comes below the more powerful 3060Ti, which is priced significantly higher at £369 in the U.K., $399 in the U.S., and *€399 in Europe.
Nothing much is known about the card and its comparison to the 3060Ti, so we'll have to wait for benchmarks. It will most likely be around 2070 Super benchmarks for performance.
What is almost certain, though, is that it’ll fly off the shelves the moment it’s available.
You can be notified when the RTX 3060 is in stock through NVIDIA's website.
