The long-awaited Persona 6 is still hard to find, as both rumors and official information about Atlus's next mainline game have been quiet for months. There were a lot of rumors and high-profile leaks in 2024, but since then, the flow of information has stopped. Fans are eager for any new information about the sixth movie in the series.

In 2024, many people who worked on Persona 6 shared interesting information about it, such as its main ideas, color scheme, setting, playable characters, and even possible release dates. At the time, a lot of people in the industry thought that Atlus would officially announce the game in 2024 or 2025, with a release date in late 2025 or early 2026.

But since there has been no announcement, people's attention has turned to other things, especially the rumored Persona 4 remake, which became more likely after a domain registration leak earlier this year.

Much talk has been going on about the Persona 4 Remake, but Atlus hasn't said anything about Persona 6, and there aren't any solid signs of when they will reveal the game. However, there are signs that the developer is still working hard behind the scenes, even though there have been no updates.

Since the series' 30th anniversary is coming up in 2026, many people think that Atlus may be planning a coordinated release strategy. For example, Persona 4 Remake could come out in early 2026 to build excitement for Persona 6, which comes out later that same year.

Concerns about Grand Theft Auto VI's schedule, it was recently pushed back to May 2026, probably won't throw Atlus' plans off track. Persona 6 is likely to come out in the middle to late fall, so the two games could be released at the same time without much market interference.

Most developers are likely to avoid releasing games at the same time as GTA VI. Instead, they will likely wait until late summer or fall to avoid competing directly with Rockstar's next big hit.

Fans may get their first look at Persona 6 soon if Atlus follows the same path they took with Metaphor: ReFantazio, which was first shown off at Summer Game Fest 2023 and is set to come out in the fall of 2024.

Next month's Summer Game Fest 2025 is a great time to make such an announcement. If not there, The Game Awards later this year or even Tokyo Game Show could be other places where the much-anticipated reveal could happen.

Fans can enjoy what looks like it will be a busy anniversary year until then. Persona 4 Remake is set to come out either later in 2025 or early in 2026, so Atlus seems to be planning a big celebration for the franchise. It looks like the company has more surprises in store than just bringing back old favorites.

As the wait goes on, fans are being told to patiently wait. With Persona 6, Atlus is probably taking their time. Fans may finally get the answers they've been waiting for in the next few months.
