Persona 4 Remake Domain and Singer's Post Stir Excitement
All signs point to a Persona 4 Remake, but is it the golden version we all want?

The Persona series is about to have a remake. After the much-awaited release of Persona 3 Reload, interest in the next big project concerning the franchise has been tremendous. Recent leaks, a newly registered website domain, and insider knowledge all point to a Persona 4 Remake coming sooner than expected.
The most significant piece of evidence originates from the domain name P4REjp, which was just recently registered. Faz, a YouTuber who covers Persona-related content, claims that this is consistent with Persona 3 Reload, which registered the name P3REjp just a few months before the game was released. This strongly suggests that an announcement concerning a Persona 4 Remake is probably just around the corner.
Complementing the presumption, voice actress Shoko Harata—best known for her work on Persona 4—recently revealed on Instagram that she was recording for an unidentified game. Tokyo's Mit Studio 2, which has already created Persona games and soundtracks like Persona 5 Strikers, was the scene of the picture. Many fans believe this relates to the Persona 4 Remake, given the time and her past participation in the series.
News of a Persona 4 Remake has not only just appeared but also previously. Leaker Midori, with a mixed reputation but past accuracy on Atlus projects, claimed Persona 4 was under development. Stories referencing his comments still exist even if their tweets were finally deleted; one post from Gamer Rank indicates that a remake is in the works but would be years away. New domain registrations and audio recordings, however, point to perhaps more advanced work than first expected.
Originally published for the PlayStation 2 in 2008, Persona 4 was later followed in 2012 for the PlayStation Vita with a revised version called Persona 4 Golden. Later, the game was adapted to other platforms, including PC and current consoles, thereby enabling a fresh generation of players to savor its unique mix of mystery and role-playing elements.
Though Persona 4 seems to be the next focus, Persona 2 and Persona 1 performed better than Persona 4 in a past Atlus fan poll of wanted remakes. Developed concurrently, Persona 3 and Persona 4 used most of its structure, yet Persona 4 was released just two years after Persona 3. Right now, Atlus, which is reusing Persona 3 Reload's assets and processes, could use a similar approach to speed up Persona 4 development. This would help to clarify why a remake might come out sooner rather than later.
One of the most urgent questions regarding a hypothetical remake is whether it will include Persona 4 Golden material, including new narrative elements and the character Marie—. Given how closely Golden's material is included in the game, it seems unlikely Atlus will publish it as a separate DLC. New material may, however, be published instead of—or in addition to—what Golden had on offer.
Fans are also excited about any updates on Persona 6, even as demand for a Persona 4 Remake mounts. Atlus has not formally spoken yet, even though it has been a long time since Persona 5.
Evidence points to Persona 6, though, being under active development. Recently unearthed was the new Atlus recruiter website, which had a Google Chrome folder named "XRD768," a codename Midori first used as the internal project name for Persona 6. This shows that work is being done behind the scenes, even though it does not guarantee an imminent reveal.
If the Persona 4 Remake might follow the same cycle as the Persona 3 Reload. The announcement could come in the next few months, perhaps during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct on April 2. Furthermore, there are rumors that say Persona 3 Reload will be a launch title for Nintendo Switch 2. So an announcement for a possible remake could also take place in this event.
However, if Persona 4 Remake is revealed this year, then Persona 6 announcement is unlikely to follow in the same year. However, if Atlus adopts their past pattern, Persona 6 might be shown soon after the Persona 4 Remake.
Though some fans had hoped for a Persona 2 or Persona 1 Remake first, all signs point to Persona 4 as Atlus's next big project. Official announcements could be just around the horizon with the domain registration, voice actor indications, and past insider leaks.
