Today Bethesda detailed the upcoming DLC for Fallout 4, and quickly all the smiles generated from this reveal became a typhoon of rage and confusion. Bethesda confirmed that stating March 1 the Season Pass would jump from $30 to $50, with those who already purchased the Season Pass not having to pay extra.
Many fans took to Twitter to voice their concerns, specifically to Bethesda. Peter Hines decided to speak to the fans regarding the price change.
“We are making more than we planned and we aren’t going to continue to give away $60 or more worth of DLC for $30”.
It’s hard to argue with Bethesda, in the past they’ve produced some of the most acclaimed DLC content for their games. Each delivering hours, sometimes days, worth of content. However many are scared that this will open the gate for more publishers to do the same. Lowering the price of DLC is already well-established but rating the price isn’t as notorious.
What do you think? Is Bethesda right to increase the price of Fallout 4’s Season Pass due to the magnitude of the content? Tell us in the comments below!
