Resident Evil 7 Has No Microtransactions
Good for Capcom, stand against single-player microtransactions
News by Grayshadow on Sep 14, 2016
It's become a norm for triple-a games to include microtransactions in both multiplayer and single-player games. Assassin's Creed: Unity and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided are a few that have caused many gamers, most notoriously Jim Sterling and Angry Joe, to vexingly explain their opposition on it and it looks like Capcom is listening.
Capcom confirmed that the leaked preorder bonuses are indeed real and that no microtransactions will be feature in Resident Evil 7.
Capcom released two images, first for those who signed up for the email newsletter, the first showing the Baker family eating and another of a busted wall with what appears to be a dummy hanging from a rope.
Resident Evil 7 will launch on January 24th, 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It'll support PSVR and 4K HDR for PS4 Pro.
