Sims 4’s Upcoming Expansion Teases the Addition of Horses

Sims’ pets are always among the most important additions to the series and they have been always asked for. Since the player can create their own characters within the Sims universe, giving them a companion to take care of is a nice touch of reality Sims is trying to be. As usual, the studio behind the title is quite happy to deliver such additions, however, Sims 4 is left out with pets, especially horses. Sims 3 had its own fair share of horses and pet-focused content back in the day with its fittingly named “Pets” DLC.

While Pets DLC for Sims 3 included almost every household pet, it also included in-depth responsibilities for exotic animals and horses too. Unfortunately, horses are absent in Sims 4 but seems like EA has a great idea to implement them in a way that would suit horses’ emergence.

On Twitter, the official Sims account shared a post about an upcoming season with desert themes. This will include barren lands filled with sand and town with no names on them. To travel to these lands, in an old-fashion way, players have to use horses, thus pointing out a new DLC that will eventually add horses.

 

Before the official word from EA themselves, shady key distributing websites used to list extra DLC for Sims 4. They were usually called “Horse Ranch” or other names, but now they have some credibility to the recent news. Not only that, the community had dug through the files of the upcoming expansion pack to find extra images containing ranches and horses. There were a few more additions with text files, explaining how to earn money through farming, finding a community to settle in, bonding with animals, and learning how to raise horses.

The last time horses appeared in the game was back in 2011 with Sims 3. Since then, players have been feeling left out without horses in Sims 4 and took the matter into their hands with their creations of horses from other animals such as dogs and cats. Now that horses are coming, there are a lot of friendships to be made with our equine friends. Sims 4 is currently going through a seasonal update and we can expect to see horses being added along with desert-themed extra items, scenarios, and customization options.
