Another day, another GTA 6 leak has people talking, this time unraveling some exciting developments for fans eagerly awaiting Rockstar's next open-world behemoth. As the game's official release date of May 26, 2026, inches closer, credible leaks are surfacing faster and more frequently. The latest leak suggests that GTA 6 is already running at 60fps on the PlayStation 5 Pro, the only confirmed platform to date, introducing 60fps gameplay for GTA 6.
The disclosure of the leak is the third in less than two months and the second significant GTA 6 leak in the last week. With Rockstar Games unlikely to release Trailer 3 or provide new details until late 2025, fans should brace for a treacherous period of unofficial news, leaks, and rumors.

This new leak comes with some solid backing and could potentially be game-changing for performance-focused players. The biggest takeaway from the leaks is that GTA 6 is already achieving 60fps on the PS5 Pro across multiple graphical settings.
However, this performance benchmark has only been achieved by Sony's mid-generation upgrade console for now, as aforementioned. While that could change as we near launch, it indicates that Rockstar, in collaboration with Sony, is investing in high-end performance, at least on specific hardware.
For gamers concerned that GTA 6 might be locked at 30fps due to its scale and scope, this is a pleasant surprise. Smooth performance, which includes 60fps gameplay, is now an industry standard. The idea that only the PS5 Pro can deliver 60fps is likely to spark controversy, especially among base PS5 and Xbox Series X users.
There's more: PlayStation engineers are reportedly monitoring development along with Rockstar to help optimize the game for the PS5 Pro. Given the long-standing marketing partnership between Sony and Rockstar, it makes sense that Sony would want GTA 6 to outshine its competitors by providing the most seamless gameplay on its hardware.
These same engineers are also assisting with other Rockstar projects, possibly including a remaster of Red Dead Redemption 2 and a port of GTA IV, as corroborated by Detective Seeds. Both titles have been hinted at for re-release this year, and this is now the second leak confirming the roadmap for Rockstar.
Additionally, GTA 6 will likely include multiple graphical settings—such as performance and quality modes—at launch. This aligns with Sony's motive to promote the PS5 Pro's advanced graphical capabilities and exclusive features like PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution), which enhances image quality and is exclusive to the new console.

To summarize, if this leak proves true, PS5 Pro users are in for a treat with an improved GTA 6 experience at launch—while others may be left with a more modest version. Nevertheless, a lot can change before the final release, as optimization is still in progress and official details are still hidden, which we'll attempt to clarify.
As always, it's important to take leaks like these with a grain of salt, since speculations are not facts. Nothing has been officially verified by Rockstar yet. Although with trusted sources and recurring patterns, fans can cautiously start getting excited about a shifting landscape in gaming and, more importantly, the most anticipated game of the decade.
