Goddess of Victory: Nikke has 77 characters, and all of them wear the potential Nano suits for Eve.

At the PlayStation February 2025 State of Play, Shift Up revealed a surprise trailer for the much-awaited Stellar Blade x Goddess of Victory - Nikke DLC, which was first teased in December 2024. In the new short trailer, Shift Up showed glimpses of a new upcoming Scarlet-themed area, some Nikke outfits, and a new boss. This is pleasing for Stellar Blade fans who have stocked Eve's wardrobe with every costume and the new Nier Automata skins.

Shift Up has done an excellent job of providing us with tons of free tiny bits of stuff, such as cool new outfits and things for Eve, but we've never received a new area, even for the Nier Automata DLC, which was the only paid content we had for it and was still rather inexpensive. It was a little disappointing because there was no more plot, not even a small assignment or a new place.

It was really just a fetch quest within existing regions. Then we got the new Nier outfits, which were beautiful, but there were no new actual missions or areas. So this appears to be a new area unless this is just something Shift Up was teasing us within the trailer, which I’m sure they weren’t. While this collaboration means more for the Goddess of Victory: Nikke than Stellar Blade, admirers of Eve wouldn’t mind going through all the troubles to unlock new Nano suits for her. The trailer showcased a broad scene of flashes in which Eve is wearing a Rapi dress, which she looks wonderful in.

We previously received some little Nikkei Easter eggs, such as the Red Hood Swimsuit in Stellar Blade and the Summer Alice outfit, which didn't really look like Alice but had her name, of course. The Red Hood outfit was very much a nod to the red hood, having the same style with things like the black straps and chest. However, in the Stellar Blade x Goddess of Victory - Nikke DLC trailer, Shift Up showcased Rapi as looking really adorable, and then something really strange happens: Scarlet walks through this extremely Japanese-inspired region, or it's actually Eve dressed up as Scarlet. So we have Rapi and Anise; perhaps we'll get Neon if not Dolla or Bay, albeit Neon's form doesn't suit Eve as well.

After that, we see her fight a very important boss, which is a big plot point. As you know, Eve is dressed up as Dorothy, which is fantastic. We hope these are better than the A2 hairdo because the hair physics for base Eve is wonderful. In reality, the developers have stated that Stellar Blade's development took three to four months longer than necessary in order to perfect the hair physics. However, they did not show the same care for A2's hair. It came off appearing rigid and wig-like. So perhaps Dorothy's hair and Nikkei's overall appearance are improved over the Near skins.

Then we had Modernia, and there was no other perspective. This was for about a half-second. They showed Eve sliding away with this back shot of her outfit as Modernia. So this is something we think a lot of people missed, but it's really cool. Image getting to unlock all 77 characters’ outfits from the Goddess of Victory: Nikke for Eve apart from 2B, which has already been added to the game previously.

It'll be interesting to see what Shift Up does with it, how Stellar Blade x Goddess of Victory - Nikke DLC works, and whether there's any weird clipping or anything like that. Obviously, there are a large number of fans out there, and they’d want to see new content other than just outfits. It's almost certain that the Stellar Blade and Nikkei collaboration will be released this year. That is official, but we are not sure when. This indicates that Stellar Blade's PC release will be in June and will include Nikkei or extra content. So, it sounds like we'll be getting the collaboration in Nikkei sooner than expected.

Furthermore, it makes perfect sense for them to do these things simultaneously to commemorate the PC launch (Stellar Blade's Xbox Series X launch situation is still clouded), and they're making a big fuss about having the Nikkei content in Stellar Blade. So maybe we'll see the Stellar Blade collaboration in Nikkei even sooner, in the summer, like June 2025. This Stellar Blade x Goddess of Victory - Nikke DLC update will most likely also be available for the PS5. If not, it would be extremely disappointing for the PlayStation community. Having sold over 1 million PlayStation 5 copies of Steller Blade, Shift Up won’t risk upsetting the player base.
