Rocksteady is shutting down Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League after Season Four.

Rocksteady Studios is a long-standing development studio with several great releases like Urban Chaos: Riot Response and the Batman: Arkham series. Throughout their entire track record from 2004 until now, this British studio has never really stopped impressing us with their work except one, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Back in May, Warner Bros. Discovery said that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was a disappointing release and underperformed financially, leading to a $200 million shortfall. We all know this happened because this game did not provide what the gamers demanded.
As promised, Rocksteady will release all four seasons of Suicide Squad that were initially planned. Season four of Suicide Squad will, of course, be the final season, according to Rocksteady, following a launch that fell short of WB's high sales goals despite being a top eight seller in the first half of the year. Their official site confirms that the final update will arrive in January 2025 because all seasons are divided into two episodes released around six weeks apart, with episode seven dropping and the final episode beginning with Deathstroke.
The last season of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which included Deadshot's daughter, Lawless, was about crime and took place in Gotham. This time, the Elseworld Task Force X will recruit Deathstroke. The Brainiac invasion is only getting started on Deathstroke's world, which is inspired by Tom Taylor's DC comic book series Dark Nights is Still.
Deathstroke's combat and character design are pretty much what we'd expect from Slade Wilson, and they work well with the game's combat style. He is a lightning-fast and adept melee combatant who specializes in bladed weapons. He is also a specialist in firearms. His traversal ability throws out a grapple that propels him forward at fast speeds, and his secondary talent allows him to rush in any direction using the anti-gravity technology in his suit, which also allows him to hover briefly if you're in the air trying to line up a shot. Speaking of weapons, he will only be able to utilize assault rifles, shotguns, and sniper rifles, and his skill tree allows you to choose between three separate play styles.
Assassin is all about close-range melee combat, and he has a skill that makes all-around adversaries bleed following a melee elimination, as well as a 50% chance to frenzy an enemy. Mercenary allows him to play more like Deadshot, with talents that improve critical hit damage and allow you to reload automatically after beating enemies with a crit. Meanwhile, the strategy's play style revolves around spreading illnesses.
As Rocksteady stated, this update will include the much-anticipated offline option that fans requested in 2023 and which Rocksteady promised to provide late last year. However, the developers assured you that while we will be able to access the game offline, all online features will remain active, allowing us to play co-op with your friends.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Season 4 will also have all-new weapons, which is great because last season, they ended up repeating a lot from earlier updates. The Infamy set for Episode 7 will focus on Gorilla Grodd, and the three-tier set will include bonuses based on the turtle's steel force, which is the strongest piece of traversal gear in the game. They will also introduce new weaponry based on the villain's brain teaser and Talia Al Ghul. A new season means a new battle pass, and the skins for this one will be inspired by Lex Luthor and mainly based on the Da Vinci of Our Time concept.
Harley and Deathstroke's skins seem amazing, and Joker and Boomerang will be the only other characters on the roster to acquire them. The roadmap also displays what appears to be a Deathstroke skin based on his iconic comic design. Since Rocksteady is already working on their next game, which will once again focus on Batman, they probably don't want to waste more resources on a lost project with little hope of revival.
