The First Descendant is a free-to-play co-operative looter-shooter boasting high-quality graphics produced in Unreal Engine 5. It was previously disclosed in an official Sony trailer under the codename "Project Magnum," which had over 2.1 million views. You take on the role of a Descendant, someone who has inherited mysterious talents from their ancestors, and you struggle to defend humanity from alien invaders. The gameplay features tactical boss battles with four-player strategies, grappling hooks, special character skills, tense gunplay, and a large amount of looting. Players can gain new characters, equipment, and upgrades if they have completed quests and defeated particularly challenging monsters.

Players eager to get their hands on a peek at the looter-shooter The First Descendant can sign up for the beta test on the game's Steam page right now. NEXON is looking forward to revealing more information about The First Descendant at Gamescom Online in August of this year. It is planned that the closed beta for the personal computer will begin this coming fall.

Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S are all supported platforms for the upcoming release of The First Descendant, which is presently in production. Keep an eye on The First Descendant's Steam page for further information on when the beta will begin and when the game will be released.
