Private Division made the announcement today. Confirming the exact release date since the game was confirmed for the Switch back in 2019.
Unfortunately, the game won't be on a cartridge if you purchase a physical copy. Instead, you'll just get a download code for it. This isn't the first game to do this but its nevertheless annoying. A physical copy should include a physical game.
It's likely that this version won't be on par with the Xbox One, PS4, or PC versions. Switch ports often sacrifice resolution and frame rate to ensure a stable experience.
The Outer Worlds is now available for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
