Life is Strange 2 Episode 4: Faith is a stellar penultimate episode to this season.

Life is Strange 2 started at breakneck speed and hasn't let up since then. With Sean and Daniel constantly being tested in both their physical fortitudes and emotional stability. Episode 4 Faith has Sean attempting to locate Daniel while both his physical and mental health are constantly under pressure. Eventually leading up to a profound conclusion that has Sean knocking on Death's door and attempting to save what's most important to him.

Episode 4 starts with Sean waking up from a coma. Now handicapped Sean is questioned by the FBI involving the murder of the Seattle Cop. Eventually, Sean learns of his missing brother's whereabouts and sets to find Daniel. With nothing but a location to go on Sean will have to break the law and make some critical decisions to locate Daniel. And even then when Sean is at the brink, he'll have to keep going.

Much of the episode is full of emotionally draining moments. Mostly involving Sean attempting to remain physically able to continue. Life is Strange 2 does tackle a lot of real-world issues involving racism and manipulation but also trust and human kindness. At times I didn't know who to trust, with one scene having Sean literally sell his dignity and in another put complete trust in a stranger.

Unfortunately, I cannot talk about the other half of the episode because of spoilers. But a new set of characters have introduced that flesh out existing plots from previous episodes. With a new antagonist that could just as easily exist in reality.

Thankfully, there's only 1 scavenging hunt situation. Many of the game's focus remains on profound decisions and difficult situations. No puzzles and lots of profound choices kept the momentum going and made episode 4 much more gripping than the previous episodes.

Thankfully, Episode 4 didn't suffer a lot of technical issues like episode 2 and 3. There are some long load times and occasionally textures don't load but during my 2 playthroughs, none of the characters were floating in mid-air.

Life is Strange 2 Episode 4: Faith is a stellar penultimate episode to this season. It's filled with hard to watch situations and difficult decisions. Leading up to a profound finale that will likely determine how Daniel and Sean see each other.
