Holy gramcrackers on jellybeans! That, but in adult terms, is exactly what I thought when the Video Game Awards announced that Bethesda was going to launch a new game.
An epic dragon appears in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
And not just any game, but the follow-up to the 2006, game extraordinaire Oblivion! Oh glory to the first-person RPG fanatic, for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will continue where Oblivion left off. This game will have some huge shoes to fill, as Oblivion was serious game of the year material back in the day and has a large following, amongst whom yours truly.
An equally epic hero appears in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
But for the cynics out there not too content with Bethesda’s antics, don’t start a flame comment just yet. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will not be using the old game engine Gamebryo, notorious for glitching up across numerous games, amongst whom Fallout 3, Oblivion and Epic Mickey. Bethesda has announced via Twitter to be working on a new engine, built within the company.
Watch the epic trailer as well. Too much epic?
They have also revealed to bring out more information in an exclusive Gameinformer February spread. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is bound for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC alike for November 11, 2011. That’s 11/11/11; even the release date is awesome.
