King of Greed represents the most challenging strategy and may no longer function after recent updates, where the base attacks random targets. This approach required extensive trial and error to develop and demands precise execution.

Understanding Greed Mechanics

Greed's base one-shot's the closest target but deals no damage to champions and attacks slowly with single-target focus. Mercs provide optimal stats, but their numbers link directly to your gold amount.

Dispenser scales independently with high attack speed but attacks random targets after random row selection.

Thieves deal significant damage and manipulate enemy AI while gathering enemy melee units. Over-invest uses gold to boost stats but wastes turns early for minimal benefits.

Required Perks

You need Castellan x3 for base enhancement, allowing a 3-year solo operation without buffs. Ingenious x1 helps reach the 4-attacks-per-second goal.

Oligarch x2 provides early Offering or Overhaul targets. Planner x2 and Nepobaby x1 enhance base buffing and enable immediate Over-invest usage.

Strategy Execution

This strategy operates as a race against time to reach 4 attacks per second on your base while building secondary tower systems for champion encounters.

Roll for Spell or Progress while avoiding Blood opponents. For Spell, place one or two vaults in front positions. For Progress, place only one vault. Position your base in the middle of the backline.

Place beacons in your starting hand in middle positions. Your goal requires a base, a potential beacon, and a vault for sacrifice. Avoid placing units or dispensers that consume Overhaul cards.

Tower System Development

Set two beacons (middle and side of base), then place the Scout tower between them. Position roots opposite the main tower.

Acquire Mangler (blood tower) with merc squad in front for sacrifice. Place Mangler in the frontline with the middle beacon buffing all three primary buildings.

Critical Timing

After reaching 4 attacks per second with 2-3 fully upgraded beacons, focus on Mangler and Scout Tower development. This timing determines the success or failure of the entire strategy.

Augment Selection

The ideal first augment is overwork (additional construction activation), followed by additional rolls, gold, tower attack speed, and tower crit. Later augments should focus on tower enhancements.

Loot Priorities

Target Greed for Over-invest, then base, then beacon cards. Progress provides Overhaul opportunities. Spell offers Offering cards.

Blood provides Mangler access. Nothing offers Scout Tower, Wildcard, and Blacksmith cards. Nature provides Clone options.

Alliance Management

You must have Progress or Spell as allies. Nature and Nothing serve as beneficial friends. Spell, Stone, and Progress represent problematic opponents when you already have the required allies. Never ally with Blood.

Tips for Success

Mercs can hold Progress, Nature, and Blood for decent periods. Thieves slow down any enemy army effectively.

The 4-attacks-per-second timing represents the critical threshold for this strategy's success. Manual timing of sacrifices and upgrades determines victory or defeat.
