The outcome of any combat in Assassin's Creed Shadows relies on the character's weapons. This guide will help you collect all the best weapons for Naoe and how you can use them to master combat in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Bloodshade Katana
The Bloodshade Katana in Assassin's Creed Shadows is, if not the best weapon for Naoe. The Afflictions perk that comes with this Katana is pretty strong, letting you keep any status effects you inflict on your enemies, even if you stop hitting your enemies for a moment. This can give you an advantage during long boss fights and when facing multiple enemies simultaneously.
When paired with the Violent Night Katana, you can combine it with the Bloodshade Katana to trigger Poison on Deflect, which will then be converted to bleed due to the Afflictions perk, boosting your damage output.
You can bleed your enemies by deflecting their attacks once you upgrade Naoe's Counterattack ability for the Katana to Hardened. This can work well for you if you have a defensive combat playstyle.
You can find the Bloodshade Katana in the Legendary Chest of a ship located off the coast of Osaka in the Izumi Settsu region, and you must complete the Yo-Kai side quest in the Omi region to get the Violent Night Katana in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Blood Letter Kusarigama
You can use the Blood Letter to apply Bleed on Entanglement. You can trigger an Entanglement in Assassin's Creed Shadows by performing the charged attack, followed by holding the attack button to wrap your enemies in your chain.
To increase the coverage of your attack, it is recommended that you use a Heavy Attack. After unlocking the Tug of War upgrade, you can deal extra damage by pulling your targets closer to you for ground finishers.
You can combine Blood Letter with Stoneheart to spread the bleeding afflictions constantly through your special moves and regular attacks during combat in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
The Blood Letter can be looted from a Legendary chest in Kashiwara Fort in the Iga province, guarded by only one Samurai, and you have to clear the Tomb in the Wakasa region near a city hub to get the Stoneheart.
Yukimitsu's Revenge Tanto
The Yukimitsu's Revenge Tanto has a perk that makes the enemy vulnerable when applying any Status Effects. You can use this opportunity to deal extra damage or stagger the enemy. Pairing it up with the Shinobi's Fury lets your weak point attack trigger another vulnerable status, and you can use posture attacks to hit your enemies two times in a row.
Artist's Tear can be a good alternative that deals an additional six percent damage with each consecutive hit. You can use this Tanto instead of Yukimitsu's Revenge if you are a player who lands fast, continuous combos.
Yukimitsu's Revenge in the Eagle's Nest tomb in the Yamashiro region and the Shinbois Fury can be found after completing the Defensive Position main quest. The Takagi Otsuka Fort in the Harima Province is where you'll find the Artist Tear after assassinating the Golden Tepo.
These are all the best weapons available for Naoe that you can use to master the combat in Assassin's Creed Shadows, which requires some skills to be tweaked according to your playstyle.
