In the "Ambush Interrupted" quest from Assassin's Creed: Shadows, Yasuke has to choose whether to forgive a former ninja or exile him. This choice affects his relationship with Ibuki, the potential recruit, who is watching your actions.

The following is the guide of Yasuke's forgiveness or banishment of a former ninja during the "Ambush Interrupted" mission in Assassin's Creed Shadows:

Option 1: Forgiveness

If you choose to forgive the man, Yasuke says, "If you kill this man, then your justice is the same as Nakatomi." Ibuki respects Yasuke's decision and the wisdom behind it. This is Yasuke's growth, empathy, and breaking the cycle of revenge. He earns Ibuki's respect, and they bond more.

Option 2: Exile

Yasuke says he can't stay if you exile the man because it would send the wrong message, and he might influence others negatively. Yasuke says the man must seek forgiveness on his own.

Ibuki might say it feels disrespectful, but ultimately agrees as long as the man never returns. While this option still gets Ibuki to join you, it lacks the emotional weight and mutual respect of forgiveness.

Both options get Ibuki to join you, but forgiveness is better. It deepens Yasuke's character and bond with Ibuki through empathy and moral conviction.
