The Infinite Kettle side quest in Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus sends you on a hunt for four well-hidden Kettle Fragments scattered across Megumi Mountain, Midori Forest, Uzumaki Cave, and the Forest of the Crimson Bamboo.

Each fragment is tied to a short riddle, and the clues can feel vague if you are just trying to explore on your own. This guide turns those lines into clear directions so you can unlock the Infinite Kettle as smoothly as possible.

Once you start the quest at Megumi Mountain and speak with Misaki, you receive all four riddles at once. You can then tackle the locations in any order, but following them in the sequence below will feel natural with the game’s progression.

After you collect every Kettle Fragment, you will return to Misaki to combine them and claim the Infinite Kettle reward.

To begin the Infinite Kettle side quest, travel to Megumi Mountain. Head into the snowy village area and look for the cozy teahouse. Inside, you find Misaki, who starts the quest for you.

Once you speak with Misaki, you officially begin the Infinite Kettle side quest and receive four riddles that each point toward a hidden Kettle Fragment somewhere in the world.

You can think of Megumi Mountain as both the start of the quest and the home of the first fragment. After talking to Misaki, stay in this region to solve the first riddle before moving on to the later areas. This keeps the route clean and helps you remember which clue you are currently working on.

Infinite Kettle Fragment 1 – Megumi Mountain

The first riddle says, “Where waters seethe beneath mountain's peak, shake the earth to reveal what you seek.”

This line points you toward a hot, bubbling spot in Megumi Mountain, close to the mountain’s upper areas where the water appears to boil beneath the snow. When you find this seething pool, stand directly over it to prepare for the solution.

Here, you need to use the Mochi Mallet to perform a ground pound. The instruction is simple: “Use the Mochi Mallet (ground pound) here.” When you slam the ground on the boiling point, the first Kettle Fragment pops out as your reward.

With that fragment collected, you are ready to move on from Megumi Mountain and follow the next riddle to the dense greenery of Midori Forest.

Infinite Kettle Fragment 2 – Midori Forest

The second riddle is, “Where thorns weave walls, a lone shrine stands, take a leap of faith where danger lands.” This clue leads you into Midori Forest, an area filled with thick, thorny growths and quiet shrines hidden among the trees.

As you explore, keep an eye out for a shrine that sits right beside a wall of brambles. That combination marks the correct spot.

Near this shrine, you will see a line of thorns that look like a deadly barrier on the right side. However, the key hint is that not all of these thorns are real. The guide text explains that “The thorns to the right are fake, fall through them.”

So you should step forward and trust the riddle: move into the apparent danger and drop straight through that fake wall. When you do, you land on a hidden path or platform containing the second Kettle Fragment, safely tucked behind the illusion of a hazard.

Infinite Kettle Fragment 3 – Uzumaki Cave

The third riddle reads, “Amidst echoing caves and water's fall, pour tea where the giant stands tall.” This line directs you to Uzumaki Cave, a twisting cavern system where the sound of water echoes through the dark and waterfalls tumble between platforms.

Your goal is to find the point where flowing water, a large figure, and a tea spot all come together.

In Uzumaki Cave, look for a place with a towering statue or giant shape standing near a pool and a healing spot. When you reach this area, you should interact with the tea location as you normally would.

The instruction here is “Drink tea/ heal here.” By resting and restoring yourself at this specific tea spot beneath the tall figure and waterfall, you trigger the appearance of the third Kettle Fragment, which completes the cave section of the quest.

Infinite Kettle Fragment 4 – Forest of the Crimson Bamboo

The last riddle says, “From the birth of the lotus we've drifted afar, return and ascend to touch a hidden star.” This final clue brings you back to the beginning of your journey: the Forest of the Crimson Bamboo, also known as the Crimson Bamboo Forest.

This region represents the “birth of the lotus,” so you need to revisit it after collecting the earlier fragments.

Once you return to the Forest of the Crimson Bamboo, search for a particular spot on the ground where something feels a little out of place. Standing on this spot is important.

The text notes that “Standing on this spot reveals a grapple point above, use it!” So stand there and watch for a hidden grapple point to appear overhead.

When it does, use your grapple to ascend to the new platform that appears out of reach at first glance. At the top, you will find the final Kettle Fragment, completing the set.

After you collect the last fragment, you must go back to Misaki at Megumi Mountain. When you return to Misaki, you hand over the four Kettle Fragments so she can assemble them.

This step “assembles the fragments and completes the quest,” awarding you with the powerful Infinite Kettle as your prize. From then on, tea management becomes much easier whenever you rest at shrines.

What About the Other Collectibles and the Omamori?

If you are worried about other collectibles tied to this quest or just exploring deeply in Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus, the game gives you extra help later on.

After defeating Gashadokuro, the giant spooky skeleton boss that appears at around the 70% completion mark, you receive a special Omamori as a reward. This happens naturally as you progress the main path and reach the late stages of the game.

This Omamori is linked to other collectible tracking and makes the cleanup phase far less stressful.

Once you have beaten Gashadokuro and claimed this charm, it becomes much easier to take care of any remaining collectible tasks while enjoying the world of Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus with your fully upgraded Infinite Kettle in hand.
