The Josee’s Fading Bond quest often stops players if they do not follow specific steps in Code Vein II. You must finish several tasks to unlock the area and move forward with Josie. This guide shows you the path to activate the bond.

Finishing the Story with Holly

You need to reach the Undead Forest first. Find Hero Holly and finish her entire questline. You must defeat Hero Holly to move on to the next part. This step is necessary to open up the later missions.

Working with Monica

Go to the Withered Greenhouse after you deal with Hero Holly. Look for Monica and talk to her. You have to complete the side quest that Monica gives you in CODE VEIN II.

Once that is done, you can restore your bond with Hero Holly. This lets you travel back into the timeline for Hero Holly.

Saving the Sanatorium

While you're in the past, go to the Sanatorium. You have to finish the mission there in order to save Hero Holly. Once you succeed, go back to the present and visit the Sanatorium again. Now that you've seen it, the building looks different.

Finding the Important Thing

Type in the new version of the Sanatorium and look around the rooms. In CODE VEIN II, you need to find something called Lise's Hair Ornament.

To finish this part of the quest, you need to pick up Lise's hair ornament. Finally, head to Josee's Outpost. You can now use the item to turn on Josee's Fading Bond.
