Crisis Core –Final Fantasy VII– Reunion Guide | How to Upgrade Costly Punch

You can use Materia Fusion to make your Costly Punch even better. This helps you raise Zack's stats very high. You should follow three steps to get the best results.

Step #1 Using the Feather

First, you need a few things. Get three items that call your friends into battle. You can buy these for 10,000 gil at stores like Bone Village. You also need one Fat Chocobo Feather. 

You get 30 of these when you finish 65% of the side missions in Crisis Core –Final Fantasy VII– Reunion.

Go to the fusion menu and put in your Costly Punch and one of the friend items. In the item slot, put in one Fat Chocobo Feather. This makes the move ready for more upgrades.

Step #2 Boosting Your Health

Now you want to raise your health bonus to +990%. You can use items like Elixirs or more Fat Chocobo Feathers. Keep adding them until the health bonus is as high as it can go without hitting the limit. 

In the old version of the game, people would steal 99 Phoenix Downs from the boss Minerva. This does not work in the new game because you must win the fight to keep your items. Just use the items you have to reach +990% HP, but do not go higher than that yet.

Step 3: Picking Your Best Stat

For the last step, you can pick which stat you want to max out. Put your Costly Punch and another friend's item into the menu. Then add one special item. You can use a Hero Drink for more attack or Adamantite for better defense. 

Dark Matter helps with magic, while Mythril helps with spirit. If you want the most health possible, use another Fat Chocobo Feather in Crisis Core –Final Fantasy VII– Reunion.

Because your move already has a high bonus, just one of these items will give you the full boost. This will make Zack very strong for the hard fights at the end of the game.
