If you are coming to experience the Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC, head to the Tower to see the main social area. You can also fly to the Cosmodrome to talk to Shaw Han and start the New Light quest of the DLC.

If you have been gone for a long time, there are plenty of stories, locations, and older activities open to everyone, like the Vault of Glass, King’s Fall, and Crota’s End raids.

Head straight to the center of the Tower. Interact with the physical Monument of Triumph there to pick up your introductory quest in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.

This update adds several things to do, such as the Sparrow Racing League inside the Crucible Ops playlist and the Pantheon challenges meant for a full fireteam. You can also dive into standard Dungeons or track down special Distortions scattered across different destinations.

You do not have to play alone. Open your roster screen and use the Fireteam Finder, which is the built-in group search tool, to find other players for any activity.

Progression & Gear

If you’re a returning player, you will see your gear start at 10 Power. Do not worry about the low number, because new loot drops at 300+ Power right away to help you catch up quickly in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.

This update does not raise the maximum level, so the highest Power cap stays at 550. Different activities give different amounts of Power, so check the reward descriptions on your map.

Your old armor and weapons are perfectly fine to use when you start out. As you play, you will find newer gear that has better stats, extra perks on weapons, and Armor Set Bonuses. If you want to know what a weapon perk does, just hover your cursor over it to read the description.

Systems & Economy

Bungie removed Legendary Shards and old Planetary Materials from the game. You no longer need them to upgrade your gear. If you still have these old items in your inventory, take them to Master Rahool in the Tower to trade them for current money in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.

Bounties and Reputation

Almost all old bounties are gone now, except for the ones you get on specific planets or from your Clan. You now level up vendors like the Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit just by playing those specific modes.

You can also finish destination missions to earn rank. Every vendor screen has a description box that tells you exactly how to earn reputation with them.

This is the main leveling system for your account. As you clear higher Guardian Ranks, you will unlock important game features like custom Loadouts and armor Mods in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.

Armor & Combat Systems

Armor stats work differently now, focusing heavily on specific parts of combat. You can open your character screen and hover over the icons on the right side to see what each stat changes.

Wearing matching gear also gives you a boost. If you put on 2 or 4 pieces from the exact same armor set, you activate an Armor Set Bonus. For example, equipping the helmet and gloves from the Ferropotent set turns on a helpful perk called Rapid Repair.

You never have to worry about Primary Ammo because it is completely infinite. For Special Ammo and Heavy Ammo, watch the bottom left corner of your screen below your skills in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.

You will see bars that slowly fill up as you play. When a bar fills completely, that type of ammo drops for you. If you want these bars to fill up faster, wear armor that has a high Weapons stat.
