You’ll need to open up your Director and go to your active quests on Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC to track the intro mission called The Tenets, which will direct you to investigate the large structure in the middle of the Tower courtyard.

Fly into the landing zone, approach this physical monument, and select the option to inspect it.

This interaction opens up the introductory triumph panels, starting with the Tenet of Bravery. Interacting with these achievements rewards you with Legendary Marks, which serve as the primary currency for the event.

Take these marks over to the built-in monument vendor screen and purchase any available item to satisfy the initial quest requirement and update your objective in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.

Meeting the Scholars

Once you buy your first reward, the quest sends you over to the Bazaar wing of the social space. Locate Ikora Rey and speak with her to officially receive the Distortions questline.

Track this new assignment in your menu, which immediately directs you to speak with a nearby vendor named Lodi.

You can find him standing just to the left of her position, facing away toward the edge of the platform. Speak with him to learn about the energy breaches bleeding into the surrounding planets.

Tracking Down Distorted Destinations

Your next major objective requires you to patrol the system and hunt down active breaches. Open your map screen and look closely at the different planets for a distinct red corruption marker. This icon indicates which zone is currently experiencing an active distortion event.

The corruption rotates between locations on a 24-minute timer, so you must pay attention to the active destination clock. When you arrive at a corrupted location, like the Moon, you will immediately notice massive visual anomalies tearing through the skybox.

The local enemy combatants will also sport unique glowing visual effects. Track down an active public event on the map marked with the corruption symbol and fast travel to the nearest landing zone to join the fight in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.

Gathering Strange Matter

Completing these corrupted public events spawns a reward chest containing a critical resource called Strange Matter.

Sometimes you must trigger and beat a Heroic version of the public event to draw out Distorted Corruptions, which are elite targets that drop additional reward chests upon destruction. You need to farm enough of this resource to fill your quest progress bar.

While finishing public events is the absolute fastest method to collect it, you can also gather small amounts of Strange Matter by eliminating normal distorted enemies during patrols, collecting local planetary resource nodes like Helium Coils, or looting random regional chests hidden around the environment.

If the planet rotates out of its corrupted state before you finish your collection, simply open your map, find the new red marker, and follow the rotation to the next active planet, such as Europa in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.

Uncovering the Strange Signal

The moment your resource counter reaches 100%, your quest tracker updates, prompting you to search your map for a unique node labeled Strange Signal.

It is important to know that this node appears exclusively on the specific planet where you picked up your final piece of Strange Matter.

If you finished your resource farming on Europa, your signal will pop up there, whereas finishing on the Moon keeps your signal on that destination. Mark the node with a waypoint and head directly to the location.

Bypassing Map Blockades

Depending on your account history, you might run into a sealed barrier while chasing the signal deep into underground zones like the Nexus. If you find your path blocked by a heavy dark barrier, you simply need to clear the initial introduction of the Beyond Light campaign.

Travel over to the southern landing zone on the icy planet and talk to the Exo Stranger. She will guide your character toward a nearby overlook structure in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.

Walk up the steps and interact with the physical dark beacon waiting at the top. Communing with this specific sigil grants you the paracausal ability to permanently unseal the blocked doorway down in the tunnels.

Claiming Your Rewards

With the path open, descend deep into the heart of the signal area. A wave of hostile forces will ambush you inside the chamber.

Fight your way through the encounter, eliminate all active threats, and look for a heavy reward chest waiting at the back of the room. Opening this container hands out your high-tier gear and officially completes the investigation in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.
