Elden Ring: Shadow of The Erdtree | How to Find All Map Fragments
Comprehensive step-by-step guide on how to find each map fragment in SoTE.

There are a total of five more areas to unlock once you kind of get started in the first area, the Gravesite Plain. And when you've got the whole thing unlocked, you'll be looking at something like this.
This is a step-by-step guide covering how to get each map fragment with as little spoilers as possible.
Scadu Altus Region
The first few places we're going to start from is the Castle Front in the Gravesite Plains just across the Elec Great Bridge.
Technically it's possible for you to come to the Castle Front and go into the Legacy Dungeon, Castle Entis, and defeat the boss in this room. Then you'll pass through, and you'll be in the Scadu Altus region.
However, if you don't want to do a major boss fight, maybe it's hard, maybe you want to do it later, for any reason you can bypass that completely and go to the Fort of Reprimand instead.
From the starting point of the Castle Front grace, we're going to follow this road an edge that is located here.
As we come to this edge, you'll note that there's a guy kind of standing on the edge looking over the side to indicate that there's something going on over here. From here, you can hop your way down to the bottom of the edge on some lowering platforms with Torrent. From the bottom, continue southeast to this marker where you can find a spirit spring.
The first spirit spring will be deactivated the first time you come here. Head past it and just go up a level and move a little to the left to find a little circle with rocks. Break it to activate the first spring. Run into the spring with Torrent and then the subsequent spring you find will take you to the Scadu Altus region.
Cerulean Coast
To access the Cerulean Coast, start again from the Castle Front and just like before, head southeast this body of water with the crab and the Miranda flower.
From there we're going to cross through a cave behind the flower and come to this grace, the Ellac River Cave grace.
From this grace, follow the river until you find the Cerulean Coast grace. The path is pretty straightforward. There will be some hidden items below a part where you have to platform with Torrent, so it’s best explore that place before you move forward.
Down the river, your guiding light will be the giant furnace golem that lets you know you're on the right path. Just head behind him to the right on the right side of the water. Go through a kind of naturally forming cave entrance from there and then get a beautiful reveal of the Cerulean Coast. A new region for you to explore and a map fragment that's just dead ahead from where you entered.
Southern Shore
For the next map fragment we have the southeastern area this is known as the Jagged Peak.
To get here, take this kind of rock formation bridge. The easiest way to do that is starting from Castle Front. We're going to follow the main road leading up all the way to this grace the Pillar Path waypoint.
When you arrive for the first time, if you see an NPC moaning in pain, it is a good indicator that you're in the right place. Take the path leading down to your left that has a lot of dragon related statues that have been beheaded and so on. This lets you know that you're following the right valley all the way down here to this cave entrance the Dragon's Pit. At the end of that valley, run in a straight line going south. On your left, there should a cave entrance to the Dragon's Pit. Just down here you're going to find a grace to get you started in this little cave dungeon section.
Passing through the Dragon's Pit, you will have a boss fight at the end and there will also be a weapon reward. And behind the boss fight room will be the Dragon's Pit Terminus Grace.
Just exit the room to the east and eventually you'll come outside to the Jagged Peak. To get to the map fragment, just enter and go straight to it.
Ancient Ruins of Rauh
For this one, start in a different place finally. The nearest grace is the Morth Ruins Grace which is kind of in the center of that region. It’s best to have Scadu Altus unlocked before this to have an easier time finding the fragment.
From the Morth Ruins Grace, head northeast to where a lake is.
The path should converge to a cave entrance through which you have to go past where there are poison lakes or ponds. Head through here and pass under a natural bridge and you'll come out into the valley of the Ancient Ruins Base.
The grace to activate should be right ahead of you. The map fragment is here at the other end of the valley where you'll have to run though a couple of golems. If you sprint through them, you will be able to skip the combat.
Abyssal Woods
To get to this region, you must start from Shadow Keep where an event will take place in the world that makes time progress, so if you still have other things to do during your playthrough before time progresses, you should not come here since all NPCs will move from their first positions to the next. This may mess up some side quests if you have not interacted with them yet.
With the warning out of the way, enter Shadow Keep and take the first elevator you see that goes upwards into the main gate plaza. You will encounter a boss here. After defeating this boss, take the door that is West of you as the door on the East will be locked. Find a slope that takes you down to the East gate to unlock it. After unlocking the shortcut, go up the slope to the middle of the great bridge and head eastwards toward a ladder.
Take the ladder down and head towards a waterfall to the west. There is a ladder that leads down to the sewage here. Go down the ladder and hit a painting to reveal an illusory wall. You will find a coffin here that you can enter to teleport to the Castle Watering Hole. Head East to enter the watering hole, and then go Southeast towards Recluses’ River Upstream.
Head down the river towards Recluses’ River Downstream. This is no easy task since you will run into several Flies. Take care of them with either a ranged weapon or a powerful Ash of War. The path is also sort of treacherous, requiring some platforming, it is best to be careful here.
From here, go through the Village of Flies (be sure to head downhill towards a graveyard).
Go South-East towards a gate that leads to the Darklight Catacombs.
This place is tricky as the whole place is dark, and you must activate levers to turn on lights, but after you navigate the place and go down three elevators, you will come across a boss that, when defeated will let you unlock the grace, Forsaken Graveyard.
From here, starts the abyssal woods. Head South to the Woodland Trails grace.
Finally, head Southeast towards a place called Abandoned Church to find the map fragment just outside of the church and then a grace should be nearby.
That’s all, folks! By following this guide, hopefully you will be able to find all the map fragments without much trouble.
