In Gotham Knights, each hero uses a form of Heroic Traversal that changes how they move through Gotham City. This guide explains how you unlock these movement options and how each character travels across rooftops once Knighthood is complete.

Unlocking Heroic Traversal

To access Heroic Traversal, you must first unlock Knighthood for the character you are using. This process is separate for Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, and Red Hood, so you select one Knight and continue with them until you finish their Knighthood skill tree.

You complete three Knighthood Challenges found in the Batcomputer. After you finish them, return to the Belfry and interact with Batman’s Cowl, located near the entrance beside other pieces of his suit in Gotham Knights.

A cutscene plays, and once it ends, the character gains access to their Heroic Traversal as soon as you leave the Belfry and begin the next patrol.

Heroic Traversal Types

Robin can travel over short distances. He moves to wherever you choose. It's helpful in bridging gaps or reaching higher ground when there aren't any grapple points nearby.

Batgirl glides using her cape. She moves across the city between grapple swings, losing altitude over time.

Nightwing uses a mechanical glider. He can move across open spaces and reach areas from above in Gotham Knights.

Red Hood forms airborne platforms. He jumps across these platforms to maintain height and move forward.

Each form of traversal gives a different way to navigate the city, and each one becomes available only after completing that hero’s Knighthood.
