Marvel Rivals has been out for a while now, and it seems to be one of the best team shooters ever made, giving even the likes of TF2 a run for its money. One of its major draws is its incredible character design, both in terms of gameplay and aesthetics.

Some of it is from the depth of abilities themselves, and others come from how the heroes play off of each other. As a beginner, many of these heroes may be daunting, hard to grasp, and even harder to master. However, some of them are designed to be very accessible, especially for newer players. In this guide, you will find a few of these heroes.

Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch, at first, seems like one of the less obvious candidates for a new player. However, once you get used to her abilities, it becomes obvious enough.

Scarlet Witch has everything you'd expect from a duelist. She is soft and speedy, hits hard and fast, and has simple skills to get things done.

Her attacks are hitscan, letting even the worst players hit the backside of a barn. To top it off, she has two escape abilities, which allow her to get out alive in most situations. This, paired with her ultimate, which obliterates anyone in a radius around Scarlet Witch, makes her really scary, all the while being easy to play.

Iron Fist

Looking at another duelist, Iron Fist finds a place in this list, being one of the easier heroes to play and probably the easiest melee character. The thing is, melee characters are already easier to play than ranged ones, and Lin Lie, the Iron Fist, has most of his abilities centered around being hit-scan or latching to targets.

An extremely agile character that utilizes fast movement and a flurry of abilities that makes you feel like a Monk from DnD. He excels as a flanker and taking specific targets.

As an Iron Fist, you shouldn't have any trouble picking up the abilities and the hero himself; however, synergizing them is another matter entirely. To truly utilize Iron Fist, you need to time his abilities well, and that requires some learning but ultimately remains relatively easy.

Marvel Rivals, Easiest Heroes to Play, Jeff, Guide, Noobfeed

Jeff The Land Shark

Don't underestimate this adorable little guy. He has gained notoriety in the game by being one of the most hated characters. Shorts and reels of him team-wiping the enemy are pretty common.

He is a great strategist, mostly centered around healing with water jets. He can also do bits of damage with alt-fire. His water stream makes it easy to heal people, and the bubbles that pop up let him survive most situations.

Nothing really needs to be said about this ult because, odds are, you have been the victim of rampant Jeff ult.

Marvel Rivals, Easiest Heroes to Play, Dr Strange, Guide, Noobfeed

Dr. Strange

The reason for including Dr. Strange here may seem weird, but the thing is, it doesn't take a lot to be decent at Dr. Strange. Meanwhile, seemingly easier vanguards, like Groot or Venom, need a good deal of understanding to be decent.

Dr. Strange comes with three simple abilities, a teleportation circle that you'll probably never use, a fly ability that gets you out of a pickle really easily, and a shield. See, this is what makes him so good for beginners; with his shield and natural high health pool, he is really hard to kill. So you can sit there, tanking damage and right-clicking the enemy, taking most other heroes out in 3-4 hits. His other ability naturally works its way into your hits, building up as you hit more enemies before you can release it as a burst of damage to deal the finishing blow.

His ultimate is on the harder side of things, making little sense and proving difficult to grasp.

Marvel Rivals, Easiest Heroes to Play, Punisher, Guide, Noobfeed

Punisher

The absolute epitome of a DPS duelist. The Punisher is a hero that is the most beginner-friendly hero in Marvel Rivals. A hitscan ability and a group of other abilities that is just reliant on you aiming at people and blasting? What's not to love?

His ultimate makes him nigh-invulnerable and lets him take out the toughest of foes. The thing about him, though, is that he is not supposed to play from the backline, like Hawkeye or Black Widow. He stands in the front, using his shotgun and occasionally using his other skills, so remember to play him like that.
