Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Guide | How to Defeat Varmis
Here’s how you can take on Varmis and get a Mech Part.

The Varmis is a fast-moving worm-like boss in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Varmis relies on its fast speed and constant movement to deal damage. It's one of the more tedious fights in the game, although not the hardest.
This boss fight usually drags on, making it pretty lengthy. There is, however, a correct method for approaching the boss, making this daunting encounter easier.
Varmis usually jumps out of the sand from a great distance and charges towards you. You'll want to avoid standing in front of its trajectory and simply move out of its way by either dodging or using your bike.

Instead of running straight ahead, you'll want to chase it from behind whilst holding the attack button to land strikes on its tail. The tail is a significant weak point, and it's the only reliable way to take Varmis down.
Varmis tends to lose speed over time once consequential damage is done to its tail. Staggering its tail will create a window for you to attack and land more tail strikes.

When that attack window opens, you'll want to immediately boost and ram your bike directly into its tail, dealing significant damage during the fight, taking a chunk out of its health.
You'll want to repeat this pattern of hitting its tail from a distance, and then boosting straight into it. Running over its tail can also deal significant damage.
Varmis tends to change direction quite often and may even disappear by diving beneath the sand before reappearing. Ideally, you'll want to stay in the centre of the arena so that you won't have to constantly chase Varmis.
The rest of the battle is mostly cat and mouse and will have you repeat the same process. You'll have to repeat it a bunch of times until Varmis fully collapses.

Once Varmis is defeated, you'll want to transform into your Morph Ball form and go inside its mouth, and drop a power bomb to access the mech part.

Once retrieved, send the component onward by interacting with it.
With persistence and patience, Varmis can be a pretty manageable boss to beat.
