Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows Guide | How to Find Important Secrets in the Map

This guide covers the southwest section of the Nightreign map. The area has hidden routes, structures, and encounters. 

Cathedral Start Point

You begin at a location that isn't on the map. The spot holds a Cathedral that can host Night Invaders. 

The place contains a boss, the Inquisitor. Near the Cathedral, you encounter the Death Rite Bird, and beside it, you face a boss. These encounters give Runes and allow progress.

Route One: Gate Entry

You can enter through the gate that links to the Cathedral. You cross a crystal bridge that brings you to the entry. After the stairs, you reach a pool with a Golden Hippopotamus that gives Runes. From there, you move through enemies and arrive at an armory. 

Inside the square, you face a boss that can vary. When you move forward, you reach a Cathedral where you gather Runes and rewards.

Route Two: Portal Entry

You can enter through a portal on the far side of the map. This route brings you into a castle with floors that you move through step by step.

Route Three: Lower Path

You begin again at the Cathedral, but instead of climbing toward the gate, you move down the lower path. You continue forward until you reach an opening inside the mountain. 

Along the way, you see ruins and patrolling enemies. Deeper inside, you encounter foes that drop Runes and items. You meet the Grey Warden, who gives a buff when defeated. You then encounter Mad Pumpkin Head, and further in, a pair of Crucible Knights.

After the Crucible Knights, you continue forward until you reach the place you call the Eagle. The spot drops you into an area with a boss that you can engage if you choose.

Optional Paths

The area holds routes through broken walls and spirit streams. These routes place you in the center of the sequence and skip sections that contain Runes and rewards, which changes the flow of the run.
